Meet Rebecca Raffle – Chef, Entrepreneur & Survivor
Meet Rebecca
Welcome to the official website of Rebecca Raffle, an executive chef, entrepreneur, and cancer survivor based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
With over a decade of experience in the culinary arts and food marketing, Rebecca has built a reputation for innovative catering, artistic food plating, and a passion for food science.
As a mom and small business owner, her journey is one of resilience, creativity, and community impact.
A Culinary Journey Rooted in Passion
Rebecca’s culinary career began in her grandmother’s kitchens. With a love for blending science and art in the kitchen, food is her art and how she expresses herself. Her unique brain is like her father’s which allows her to curate 14-course molecular gastronomy food experiences.
After receiving a degree in Business Administration, from the University of San Francisco, Rebecca followed her father’s footsteps and enrolled in UC Berkeley’s on-campus extension program.
She was fortunate to learn from some of the greatest minds at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) in physics, organic chemistry, and statistics.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Rebecca went back to her culinary roots and trained under one of the best chef’s and catering teams in Indianapolis.
She now works as a private molecular gastronomy chef, and educator, for private, corporate, and non-profit clients.

“When someone cooks for you, they are saying something. They are telling you about themselves: where they come from, who they are, what makes them happy.”
– Anthony Bourdain
Challenges and Growth: The COVID-19 Impact
Like many small business owners, Rebecca faced immense challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The unprecedented nature of the pandemic, coupled with difficult economic conditions, led to the closure of her beloved bakery and retail business.
Taking Accountability
Rebecca acknowledges the missteps made during this difficult time. “The closure of our businesses during COVID was one of the hardest decisions of my life,” she shares. “I take full responsibility for the challenges we faced and am committed to using these lessons to move forward stronger and wiser.”
Today, Rebecca is focused on rebuilding her professional journey while continuing to give back to her community. Her story of perseverance resonates with entrepreneurs and food enthusiasts alike.
Overcoming Adversity: A Cancer Survivor’s Story
Rebuilding After Adversity: My Path Forward
In 2012, Rebecca was diagnosed with MALT lymphoma, a rare type of cancer. Lymphoma runs in her Dad’s side of the family. Through courage, determination, and unwavering support from her family and friends, she completed her treatment and is now cancer-free.
This life-changing experience has fueled Rebecca’s commitment to inspiring others. “Surviving cancer taught me the value of resilience and the importance of sharing our stories to uplift and encourage others,” Rebecca says.
Rebecca’s Vision for the Future
Rebecca’s next chapter is centered on educating and inspiring through her expertise in molecular gastronomy and food science. She’s also developing her personal food science brand, where she teaches the art and science of cooking to home chefs and culinary enthusiasts.
