Meet Rebecca Raffle – Chef, Entrepreneur & Survivor

My Journey: The Resilience, Passion, and Truth of Rebecca Raffle

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. My story is one of challenges, growth, and unwavering determination.

From building a career in culinary arts to overcoming personal and professional adversity, I’ve faced each chapter of my life with resilience, hope, and the belief that every setback can be a stepping stone to a brighter future.

A Love for Culinary Arts and Food Science

My passion for the culinary arts began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where I discovered the magic of combining flavors, textures, and presentation to create unforgettable meals.

This love for food led me to pursue a career in marketing food brands and later becoming a professionally trained chef.

Equipped with these skills, I co-founded a full-service catering company working throughout the Midwest.

My team and I brought innovative cuisine and unforgettable events to life, earning the trust of our community.

“When someone cooks for you, they are saying something. They are telling you about themselves: where they come from, who they are, what makes them happy.”

– Anthony Bourdain

Facing Adversity: The COVID-19 Pandemic

In 2020, like many small business owners, I faced devastating challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The abrupt halt of events, coupled with the economic uncertainty of the time, placed immense strain on our business.

Taking Responsibility

While the pandemic created unforeseen obstacles, I take full accountability for the missteps that contributed to the closure of my business. It was an incredibly difficult decision, but one I’ve learned and grown from.

To my employees, partners, and community members who were impacted during this time, I sincerely apologize. I value the trust you placed in me and remain committed to rebuilding and continuing to serve with integrity in all my future endeavors.

Overcoming a Personal Battle with Cancer

In 2012, I faced one of the greatest challenges of my life: a diagnosis of MALT lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. Lymphoma runs in my Dad’s side of the family. Going through chemotherapy was horrible, for me and my family. This is something I have really struggled talking about.

The road to recovery was difficult, filled with uncertainty and fear, but it also taught me profound lessons about resilience and the power of support.

Thanks to early detection, effective treatment, and the incredible care of my medical team, I’m proud to say that I’m now cancer-free.

This experience shaped my perspective, reminding me of the importance of living authentically, cherishing every moment, and giving back to those who need hope.

Rebuilding and Moving Forward

Today, my focus is on using my experiences to inspire and empower others. I’ve launched a new venture, where I teach aspiring chefs and food enthusiasts about the fascinating intersection of art and science in cooking.

Through classes, recipes, and engaging content, I aim to make culinary creativity accessible to everyone.

I’m also committed to advocating for women in culinary arts, supporting fellow entrepreneurs, and sharing my story as a testament to the power of perseverance.

The Truth Matters: Addressing Misinformation

In 2021, false allegations about my character and career were circulated online. I want to set the record straight.

  • My credentials, including my educational transcripts and professional achievements, are authentic and available for anyone to review.

  • My health journey, including my cancer diagnosis and recovery, is well-documented and deeply personal but shared here in the spirit of transparency. Opening up about an illness that was so life-changing, for me and my family, has been very challenging.

I believe in taking accountability for my actions and being transparent about the challenges I’ve faced. However, I will not allow misinformation to define my story.

My Promise to You

I am committed to using my voice, skills, and experiences to make a positive impact.

Whether through sharing knowledge, creating meaningful connections, or rebuilding trust, my goal is to move forward with integrity, authenticity, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
